As we enter the 21st century and the Information Age, the College of Information and Electronic Engineering of Hallym University has focused on training and guiding students, preparing them to be global leaders in society. We have been offering programs that provided our future leaders to become fully equipped with knowledge in computer science, electronic engineering, ubiquitous computing, and ubiquitous game.
Specializing in IT, our College of Information and Electronic Engineering offers diverse courses in four departments: the department of computer engineering , the department of electronic engineering, the department of ubiquitous computing, and the department of ubiquitous game. The many projects we have undergone including the BK21 project, Nurturing Excellent engineers in information Technology project, New University for Regional Innovation project has contributed to the training of exceptional young leaders who are the commitment of shaping the global future. In addition, the department of computer engineering and the department of electronic engineering have been selected in 2004 and 2005, respectively, by the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development for a 4-year, 10-billion grant project. The departments have also been active to support for student scholarships, study abroad programs, and student club activities. From 2010, the former the department of computer engineering has been divided into the department of computer engineering and the department of ubiquitous computing to strengthen the expertise in each field. Meanwhile, the department of ubiquitous game has been recently established with the government¡¯s support for not only full scholarships but future projects as well.
With the best faculty and competent engineers, Hallym University¡¯s College of Information and Electronic Engineering aims to recruit potential leaders that will contribute to strengthening South Korea¡¯s influence in the world. Thank you.
