Train healthcare AI talent to lead the field of medical artificial intelligence


Hallym University is approved for the establishment of School of AI Health and Life care Sciences and it offers a class for 60 students in accordance with the government's high-tech talent training policy, and recruits new students from the 2021 school year. Under the university vision of the 4th Industrial Revolution innovation initiative through the advancement of smart health & life care industry, community conditions with the main agenda for the establishment of future health and welfare systems, and the full-fledged convergence education of artificial intelligence, we will train talented people who "focus on AI and make the best use of AI."

Hallym University and Hallym University Medical Center established the Hallym AI Convergence Research Institute and the Medical Artificial Intelligence Center under the medical center in 2019 to provide infrastructure for systematic artificial intelligence research and application. In addition, we support field-oriented curriculum and career exploration activities by establishing an industry-academic-government cooperative network for comprehensive cooperation with public institutions such as SK C&C and the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service.

Curriculums

School of AI Health and Life-care Sciences focuses on medical and healthcare AI, and introduces AI+X multi-major program, industry-academic cooperation joint lecture program, and individual customized AI support learning program such as ALEKS. We will do our best to be competitive as an artificial intelligence expert needed in various fields by providing innovative curriculum differentiated from existing departments.

The data and AI sectors are among the seven most promising occupations expected by the World Economic Forum (WEF), and are the largest annual job growth groups. School of AI Health and Life-care Sciences at Hallym University guides the advancement and start-up of various medical institutions, public institutions, research institutes, and artificial intelligence-related businesses after graduation by providing educational contents that foster data management/analytical skills, including machine learning and deep learning, and that enable them to apply and utilize artificial intelligence technology in various fields such as medical, healthcare, business, and marketing.
